ESA Projects
Antarctic Ice Sheet CCI (2015 - 2018)
ENVEO is partner in the Ice Sheets CCI Project, which is part of the Climate Change Initiative of ESA. ENVEO is leading the ice velocity product (ice sheet wide and time series for major ice streams) and is contributing to the grounding line production from SAR data.
Data sets are made available through ENVEO's CryoPortal (http://cryoportal.enveo.at)
Greenland Ice Sheet CCI (January 2012 - December 2014), Phase 2 (2015 - 2018)
ENVEO is partner in the Ice Sheets CCI Project, which is part of the Climate Change Initiative of ESA. ENVEO is leading the time series of calving fronts and grounding lines of major outlet glaciers of Greenland. ENVEO is further leading the production of ice sheet wide ice velocity maps from Sentinel-1 data, as well as high-resolution time series of ice velocity for the margins of the Greenland ice sheets.
Products are provided through the ENVEO CryoPortal (http://cryoportal.enveo.at).
ESA STSE CryoSat+ Mountain Glaciers (2015 - 2017)
ESA STSE Project investigates the capabilities and limitations of the current CryoSat2 SARIn processor for mapping mountain glaciers.
Project Team: University of Edinburgh (PI), Mullard Space Science Laboratory of the University College London (MSSL), ENVEO Environmental Earth Observation IT GmbH, and IsardSAT
Glaciers CCI (2010-2013), Phase 2 (2015 - 2018)
Phase 1 of the ESA Climate Change Initiative - Glaciers CCI. ESA Study, Contract 4000101778/10/I-AM.
Products are provided through ENVEO's CryoPortal (http://cryoportal.enveo.at).

ESA SnowPEX (5/2014 - 12/2016) - The Satellite Snow Product Intercomparison and Evaluation Experiment
SnowPEX is an international collaborative effort funded by the European Space Agency (ESA). Under the lead of ENVEO the project aims to intercompare and evaluate satellite-based seasonal snow cover products of hemispheric to global extent in order to assess their accuracy, resolve possible discrepancies and elaborate guidelines for further improvement. More Information can be found at the project website: http://calvalportal.ceos.org/projects/snowpex
