ENVEO is leading the C3S for Cryosphere, covering the Essential Climate Variables (ECVs) glaciers, ice sheets and ice shelves, and snow. ENVEO is leading the ECV Ice Sheets, responsible for the generation of time series of ice velocity maps for Greenland and Antarctica. ENVEO is also responsible for the Snow Cover Extent service, generating time series of daily global snow cover extent maps from optical satellite data since 1982.
