Global Snow Monitoring for Climate Research. ESA Study, Contract 21703/08/I-EC.

GlobSnow aims at creating a global database of snow information for climate research purposes. The main objective is to create a fundamental climate data record (FCDR) concerning the essential climate variables (ECV) for snow. The main snow products to be created are satellite based global maps of snow extent and snow water equivalent, along with accuracy information for each of them. the database will cover a period of at least 15 years.
