ESA SAMBA High Resolution SAR Algorithms for Mass Balance and Dynamics of Calving Glaciers (2016 - 2017)

The overall goal of the High Resolution SAR Algorithms for Mass Balance and Dynamics of Calving Glaciers (SAMBA) project is to advance the utilization of high resolution SAR sensors for better understanding of flow dynamics and processes of ice/climate interactions of calving glaciers and for reducing the uncertainties in mass balance of calving glaciers and on their current sea level contributions in regions of high climate sensitivity. This work is based on data of the TanDEM-X and TerraSAR-X missions.

Project Team: German Aerospace centre (DLR) (PI), ENVEO Environmental Earth Observation IT GmbH.
